San Javier Apr 2021 silver-dominant IOCG
The below pictures and video images were taken during a site visit to San Javier in April 2021.
Canuc accumulates evidence for a silver-dominant IOCG deposit type.
In late August of 2020 Canuc management located a report that had been written in 2006 by Dr. Murray W. Hitzman who, at the time of writing, was the Head of the Department of Geology and Geological Engineering at the Colorado School of Mines. Dr. Hitzman is an internationally recognized authority on IOCG deposit types.
On September 22nd, 2020 Canuc had announced detection of what is now referred to as the ‘Silver Mountain Breccia Zone’. The zone is measured on surface at 800 meters in strike length and ranges in width between 80 and 100 meters.
Press release relating to silver bearing breccia zone, 800 m x 80 m on surface:
Canuc Resources Corp. (TSX-V: CDA) press release 22 September 2020
(This zone is now referred to as “Silver Mountain Breccia Zone”)
The videos below show drilling and perspective view of the ‘Silver Mountain Breccia Zone’. The breccia structure contains very high grades of silver which is found in magnetite veins. The high-grade magnetite veins were first identified with the sampling of artisanal mine workings that are found within the larger breccia structure.
The company is also confirming that the much larger ‘Silver Mountain Breccia Zone’ itself is mineralized. This has been evidenced by silver assays taken from the breccia structure and by the detection of magnetite mineralization in stockworks and veinlets throughout tens of meters of ‘Silver Mountain Breccia Zone’ which were exposed by trenching.
Extensive artisanal mine workings on silver bearing magnetite veins is a finding which is consistent with silver-dominant IOCG geology.
