San Javier Jan 2021 silver-dominant IOCG

The below pictures and video images were taken during a site visit to San Javier in January 2021.

Canuc accumulates evidence for a silver-dominant IOCG deposit type.

In late August of 2020 Canuc management located a report that had been written in 2006 by Dr. Murray W. Hitzman who, at the time of writing, was the Head of the Department of Geology and Geological Engineering at the Colorado School of Mines. Dr. Hitzman is an internationally recognized authority on IOCG deposit types.

IOCG Discovery at San Javier

On January 7th, 2021 Canuc announced that 3 large magnetic anomalies had been found on company claims. These magnetic anomalies were found in the area where Dr. Hitzman had projected that magnetite would signal IOCG discovery potential.

Press release confirming detection of large magnetic anomalies:

Canuc Resources Corp. (TSX-V: CDA) press release January 7th, 2021

For the videos and pictures below, an effort has been made to show the areas where these 3 large magnetic anomalies were detected. Each of the areas has mineralization, with 2 showing predominantly silver mineralization and one predominantly copper and gold mineralization.  These areas represent IOCG type exploration targets.

Multiple old mine workings were found near surface in areas where the large geophysical anomalies were detected. This confirms that the iron and magnetite matrix material is silver and copper-gold bearing, a finding which is consistent with IOCG geology.
