San Javier Silver-Gold Project

San Javier is an historical mining district with the potential to become a new mining camp.

The Company’s San Javier Silver-Gold Project is comprised of 17 contiguous mineral claims located near the town of San Javier in Sonora State, Mexico. San Javier is located 146 km east of the State Capital, Hermosillo and is accessible by paved road.

The Company’s principal claims at the San Javier Silver-Gold Project surround old workings on high-grade silver and gold mines. The Company has been working since 2010 to expand its ground position along strike and down dip of the artisanal silver and gold mine workings.

In September of 2020 Canuc Resources Corp. found sizeable breccia zones with silver assaying up to bonanza grades, old mine workings and extensive magnetite mineralization on the eastern area claims of the Company’s ground. These were new claims for the Company that had been acquired in October 2019. Previous owners had never explored the claims for metals.

The sizeable silver bearing breccia discovery made during Aug-Sep.2020 shifted the Company’s focus from high grade silver vein exploration to silver heavy IOCG deposit type exploration.

See this link documenting IOCG discovery potential at San Javier:

Several companies have previously been involved in regional exploration and resource definition in the historical mining area of San Javier. Companies that have held ground and drilled resources in the past include Red Tiger Mining Inc. and Constellation Copper Corporation.

In 2020 new public companies arrived and acquired the mineral rights near San Javier that had previous been held by Constellation Copper and Red Tiger. The ground acquired by these companies is contiguous with Canuc’s central claims to the east and to the south.

06.Aug.2020 Barksdale Resources Corp. (TSX-V: BRO)

The new companies bring capital and renewed exploration initiatives to San Javier, which is rapidly evolving into Sonora State’s next mining camp. Canuc’s accumulated central claim position and new discovery potential provide catalysts for growth in the near term.
